Lead source data you can rely on

Capture the source on every visit, deliver it with every lead, and report on it without exporting a spreadsheet. Here is everything Sourcream does, grouped by where it fits.

Capture

Record the source on every visit

First and last touch

The first visit is written once and never changed. The last touch is the latest visit that wasn't direct. Both last 180 days, and a session ends after 30 minutes without activity.

Ad click IDs

gclid, gbraid, wbraid, dclid, msclkid, fbclid, ttclid, li_fat_id, twclid, epik and ScCid are captured on every visit. If the URL has no gclid or fbclid, we read them from the cookies Google and Meta tags set.

AI assistant traffic

Visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot get their own channel, so you can see how often AI answers send people your way.

Hidden fields filled for you

The script adds the attribution fields to your forms and keeps them up to date. Prefer to place them yourself? Copy the fields from the Install tab and switch auto fill off.

Webhook intake

Forms processed on a server, Zapier zaps and Gravity Forms can post leads straight to your site's intake URL. It has its own limits and keeps working if a browser call is blocked.

Single page apps

React, Vue and other client side apps work too. Forms that appear after a route change, in a pop up or as a later step are filled as soon as they show up.

Deliver

Put it where your team already works

HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive

Connect by signing in. Sourcream creates or updates the contact, lead or person and fills in the attribution properties. Pipedrive also works with an API token.

Signed webhooks

Send every new lead to any URL, signed so you can check it came from us. Zapier, Make, n8n and Monday.com all work this way.

Field mapping

Seven core fields on every plan, twenty more on Business and above, and on Pro and Agency you choose exactly which CRM property each value goes to.

Retries and a delivery log

If a CRM is down or rejects a request, Sourcream tries again on its own. Every attempt is logged with the response, and you can resend any lead.

Match on email or visitor ID

Match CRM records on email address, or keep email addresses away from us entirely and match on the visitor ID your form already sends.

GA4 through Tag Manager

A sourcream_ready event in the data layer gives Google Tag Manager the same first and last touch values, ready for GA4 user properties.

Report

See which channels bring leads, not just visits

The dashboard counts leads, so every number on it is someone who actually got in touch.

  • Overview of leads over time by channel, source and campaign, on first or last touch.
  • Leads table with filters for site, dates, source, medium, campaign and channel, plus CSV export.
  • Lead detail with the full journey, every visit in order, and each delivery to your CRM.
  • Shareable reports on Pro and Agency, with your own branding on Agency.
Control

Privacy, access and limits on your terms

Consent modes

Run with no banner, wait for an explicit yes, or follow Google Consent Mode. Until consent, nothing is stored and nothing is sent.

First party mode

Serve the script and its data calls from your own domain, with a server cookie Safari keeps for 180 days. Setups for WordPress, Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, nginx, Apache and Next.js.

Contact detail retention

Names and email addresses on leads are removed after 30 days by default. Set your own period; the attribution data stays.

Team roles

Invite colleagues as owners, admins, members or viewers. Pro includes three seats and Agency has no limit.

Usage alerts

Account owners get an email at 80% and 100% of the monthly lead allowance. Tracking never stops part way through a month.

REST API

Agency accounts can read leads and stats and send leads in with account API keys, for your own reporting or data warehouse.
